Translation

Brandt Translations offers high quality technical translation services for software, multimedia, documentation and online help projects, in the following languages:

  • English, German, Spanish (Iberian and South American), Italian, French, Dutch, Portuguese (Iberian and Brazilian), Swedish, Norwegian, Polish, Czech and Turkish.

  • Asian languages - Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, and others.

Our translators are based both in-house and in-country. With our growing portfolio of translators across Europe, Eastern Europe, Scandanavia and Asia, we can adapt flexibly to the challenges presented by fast moving client requirements.

In addition to translation services, we provide highly trained professional project management services for multilingual projects.

Our Translation Network:

Brandt Translations is based on a network of highly qualified translators. These translators either work with Brandt Translations as full-time employees, contractors or freelancers. The project manager within Brandt Translations is the sole point of contact for our clients throughout the project. The project manager works with the team of translators and reviewers to ensure that schedules and throughputs are realistic and are maintained throughout the project.

Translation Tools:

Brandt use the leading industry tools such as Trados, Translators Workbench, ForeignDesk and more recently Worldserver. However we can work with proprietary systems if required.

Rates:

Our rate card is available upon request, we are more than happy to discuss and carry out an initial project evaluation free of charge, providing our clients with an outline cost estimate for their projects.

We have simplified our rate card as follows:

  • Translation of Software includes re-sizing and compilation.
  • Translation of Help includes UI bug fixing and compilation.
  • Graphics text is translated at the software rate.
  • Localisation of Graphics is charged at an hourly rate.
  • Translation of Documentation for DTP includes final linguistic review
  • but not any Desktop Publishing.
  • Project Management is 10% of the total project cost.
  • Volume discounts are available on substantial repeat business.

As part of our internal processes and reporting mechanism, we believe that interim deliverables during the lifecycle of a project are essential. In many instances the quality of these interim deliverables are key contributory factors to the success or failure of a project.
